Julia's M.A. thesis treated on the states of consciousness and mindfulness in healthy pregnant women (written under the supervision of Professor Andrzej Kokoszka, Warsaw Medical University). She completed the 4-year integrative psychotherapy training programme with Richard Erskine, PhD from the Institute for Integrative Psychotherapy (New York, USA) at the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy (Manchester, UK).
Director of The Mind Institute (Science and Emotions are One) in Warsaw, Poland. She conducted over thirty 8-week mindfulness courses (based on the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reductionprogramme) and 8-week self-compassion training courses in Warsaw, Poznan, Szczecin, Torun and Gdansk. Julia also runs her private practice (individual clients).
Julia on behalf of her company The Mind Institute has so far invited the following people to give lectures and run workshops: Antonia Sumbundu; Rick Hanson, PhD; Christopher Germer, PhD (Harvard Medical School, USA); Albert Aniskiewicz, PhD (Michigan State University, USA); Kelly Wilson, PhD (University of Mississippi, USA); Christopher Willard, Psy.D. (Tufts University, USA).Among many workshops and trainings she participated in MBSR in Mind-Body Medicine (part of the MBSR teachers’ training) conducted by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD and Saki Santorelli, PhD.
Julia also conducted individual and group therapy, introductory workshops to mindfulness for law enforcement professionals (police force and prison/correctional officers) at the Hospital of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in Otwock near Warsaw, Poland (Department for the Treatment of Neurotic Disorders) and lead anger management workshops with Polish directors of prison administration.
Julia is interested in psychotherapy integration, antenatal psychology/maternology, consequences and treatment of trauma, attachment issues, neurobiology (including the polyvagal theory), CFT, ACT, culture-bound syndromes and the possibility of integrating Eastern techniques within the framework of Western psychology.
She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Derby (Compassion-Based Interventions for Cancer Patients and Survivors).

I run 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and 8-week Compassion for Life Courses. I also run other workshops and courses including Interpersonal Mindfulness, 2-day Introduction to Mindfulness.
